My name is Josiah Platt. I'm a designer / developer nerd from Dallas, TX, and I'm pretty sure I love you.
In case you haven’t heard, they’re working on another bailout bill. If they pass it, the value of our Dollar will be worse than it ever has, and we’ll be one step closer to a one-world currency. Tell your congressmen to vote no. Click here to get the names and contact info for your representatives. Seriously, find the number[s] for your state, make a call, and say, “Vote no for the bailout thing. Yeah thanks.” : click :
Update: I just got in touch with a Texas State representative. His assistant, after hearing what I had to say, replied with, “Unfortunately for the senator, he’s already voted yes.”
I think they’ve had a lot of people calling in.
Good gravy. I just got in touch with one of the state representatives, and he already voted for it.
They’re calling it the “Financial Stabilization Bill.
Complete b.s.
Yeah – its funny with 700 Billion dollars… we could do the following…
-Conquer another country (current total cost of Iraq War)
or
-Pay off EVERY mortgage in the US that has $75,000 or less on the note.
or
-embrace socialism, and just let the Government “take care” of everything.

Thanks for the heads up. Here’s my post on this mess: http://www.kylesteed.com/financial-weakilization-bill/
The estimated value of the Twin Towers was approximately $3.5 Billion (This includes: WTC 1, WTC 2, WTC 4, and WTC 5). WTC 1 & 2 are or rather were the Twin Towers.
Given the numbers, taxpayers are being hit with a debt burden that is equivalent to what it would cost to build roughly 200 exact replicas of the Twin Towers (Sans any optional Jumbo Jets which would no doubt cost extra.)

All of this serves to give bankers cash to cover a questionable amount of bad bets while they remain unregulated and unharmed from the economic hole they dug for the rest of us.
