Nothing strikes fear in the heart of a practitioner more than a behemoth corporation acquiring one of their most oft-used tools. But alas, here we find ourselves again.
Just to get this out of the way, I don't think Adobe is a terrible company, but that being said - when a company is as large as they are (and with as many offerings), a fast, nimble and cohesive experience is an extremely tough challenge.
I can't help but be afraid that Adobe is going to kick the chair out from under Figma's rapid development, and modern vibe.
Here's hoping Adobe just bought them for the impact on their bottom line, and knows well enough to leave it running as an independent entity.
